A lecturer:Mutsuko Mihashi (Kurume University school of Nursing/Professor)
Participants learned through lectures and experiments the important role water plays in infection prevention and the effective way to wear masks.
Basic points for infections prevention
● Assessing disinfection performance using a handwash training box (actual
practice)
Participants checked whether their hands actually became clean after usual washing methods.
● Proper fitting of the N95 respirator
Participants checked the fit of the N95 respirator and learned proper wearing
procedures.
● Hazmat suit training (actual practice)
Participants learned to wear a Class I infectious disease hazmat suit with the help of staff members.
Infectious disease survival game
A lecturer:Yuka Sato (Kurume University school of Nursing/Professor)
Participants were encouraged to think about how to prepare for a pandemic or outbreak through a recreational game. The experience provoked serious discussions among the participants.
Handwash dance
Everyone learned good handwashing practices by dancing along to the “Frothy Bubbles Handwash Song”.
